We have come to the last part of this virtual class and it is related to short stories.
What are they?
They are a piece of prose fiction that can be read in one sitting. So, if you are not a big fan of reading this kind of stories are for you.
Some characteristics:
The have all the elements of dramatic structure as it is shown in the followin picture:
As you can see in the image a short story has a beginning, a middle, and an end, but in a condensed form and less complex than a novel.
In the book, you are introduced to a short story, but we are going to do a little twist, not using the book this time you will go to the following link:
It has a short story "THe Gift of the Magi" by O.Henry, but the great part is that you can listen to it and read it. So, let's pay attention to it.
Then, make a mind map about the story. Also, make a list of 10 new words that you learn and with 5 of them write sentences.
